About the role:

We have a new and exciting opportunity to join our Technical function in the role of Engineer/Senior Engineer.
Overseeing all aspects of engineering from land bid stage to post completion, you’ll be responsible for the following:
• Involvement in the efficient delivery of appropriate due diligence for land bids, design and build information to all departments, including land, construction, commercial, marketing and sales and customer care.
• Proactively manage the appointment of consultants and ensure that they perform in line with their agreed scope of services and produce the detailed information required within agreed timescales
• Programme and actively monitor pre-contract and site clearance works to ensure timely starts on site to achieve or exceed Business Plan targets
• Design proposals, ensuring compliance and recording on appropriate tracking logs.
• Review and value engineering of all civil engineering designs including drainage, road construction and earth works
• Inspect and check detailed drawings to ensure multi discipline coordination and scheme compliance with Design Brief, Sales Requirements and all related statutory and regulatory criteria such as Planning, Building Regulations, CDM, NHBC, NDSS, etc.
• Engage with the project team and Principal Designer to design out or mitigate all health and safety risk.

What we are looking for:

You will have a proven track record of working in new build residential developments with demonstrable experience of creating and delivering private housing developments. A strong commercial awareness is essential, with the ability to constructively challenge designs to ensure best value is achieved.
